1. 적용 범위
이 방침은 HelpfulApps Co.의 Android 앱 스쿼트 카운터에 적용됩니다. 앱은 타이머 또는 버전 코드 8부터 제공되는 선택형 카메라 모드로 횟수를 세고 운동 기록을 저장하는 도구입니다. 계정을 만들거나 로그인할 필요가 없습니다.
2. 기기에 저장되는 정보
목표, 카운트, 운동 시작·종료 시각, 운동 시간, 완료 여부, 진행 중인 세션, 소리·언어 등의 설정과 광고 유예 기간 계산용 최초 사용 시각을 기기의 SQLite 데이터베이스에 저장합니다. 앱은 이 운동 기록을 개발자의 서버나 광고 요청으로 전송하지 않습니다. 최근 저장 기록은 최대 500개까지 보관하며 새 기록이 추가되면 오래된 기록이 삭제됩니다.
앱 자체의 클라우드 동기화는 없습니다. 다만 Android 백업이 허용되어 있어 기기와 Google 계정의 백업 설정에 따라 앱 데이터가 운영체제에 의해 백업되거나 복원될 수 있습니다.
3. Google 광고
앱에는 Google AdMob 배너 및 전면 광고가 있습니다. Google의 광고 SDK는 광고 제공·측정, 분석 및 부정행위 방지를 위해 IP 주소(대략적인 위치 추정에 사용 가능), 앱·광고 상호작용, 진단 정보, 광고 ID·앱 세트 ID 등 기기 식별자를 수집하고 공유할 수 있습니다. 해당 SDK가 전송하는 데이터는 TLS로 암호화됩니다.
운동 기록을 광고 타겟팅 목적으로 SDK에 전달하지 않습니다. Google이 처리하는 정보와 보관 기준은 Google 개인정보처리방침 및 Google 광고 안내를 확인해 주세요. 광고 ID는 Android 설정에서 재설정 또는 삭제할 수 있습니다. Google 등의 처리 과정에서 이용자 거주 국가 밖에서 정보가 처리될 수 있습니다.
4. 권한과 외부 서비스
앱은 광고를 위한 인터넷 연결, 소리 및 진동 기능을 사용합니다. 버전 코드 8부터 카메라를 선택하면 스쿼트 횟수를 세기 위해 카메라 권한을 요청합니다. Google ML Kit를 사용해 영상과 신체 좌표를 휴대폰에서 처리합니다. 앱은 카메라 영상이나 신체 좌표를 저장하거나 개발자 서버 또는 광고 요청으로 전송하지 않습니다. 운동 횟수·목표·시간 등의 기록은 기존처럼 기기에 저장됩니다. 권한을 거부하면 타이머 방식으로 계속 사용할 수 있으며 Android 설정에서 카메라 권한을 취소할 수 있습니다. 버전 코드 7 이하는 카메라 모드를 제공하지 않습니다. 카메라 영상으로 횟수를 셀 때 마이크와 위치 정보는 사용하지 않으며 Health Connect와 연동하지 않습니다. 별도의 개발자 분석 서버나 회원 시스템은 없습니다. 현재 광고 제거 구매와 구매 복원 기능은 제공하지 않습니다.
선택형 음성 명령을 켜면 마이크 권한을 요청합니다. Android 12 이상과 호환되는 기기 내 음성 인식 서비스·언어 모델이 필요합니다. 마이크 입력은 휴대폰에서 시작·일시정지·계속 명령으로 인식하며, 앱은 음성이나 인식문을 저장·업로드하거나 광고에 사용하지 않습니다. 클라우드 음성 인식으로 전환하지 않습니다. 언어 모델 준비를 선택하면 Android가 필요한 모델을 인터넷으로 다운로드할 수 있습니다. 음성 명령은 앱 실행 시 기본 꺼짐이며 사용자가 켜야 하고, 준비된 카메라 운동 화면에서만 듣습니다. 설정·달력·백그라운드·저장 중에는 듣지 않으며, 운동 저장 후 꺼집니다. 앱이 음성 안내를 재생하는 동안에도 듣지 않습니다. 화면 버튼은 계속 사용할 수 있습니다. 앱에서 끄거나 Android 설정에서 마이크 권한을 취소할 수 있습니다.
Google ML Kit SDK는 성능 진단과 사용 분석을 위해 기기·앱 정보, 설치별 식별자, 처리 시간, API 설정, 입력·출력 크기, 사용 이벤트 및 오류 정보를 Google로 전송할 수 있습니다. 포즈 인식은 Firebase 원격 구성과 설치 서비스를 사용할 수 있습니다. 이 진단 통신에는 카메라 영상이나 인식된 신체 좌표가 포함되지 않습니다. Google은 수집 데이터를 HTTPS로 암호화하며, 자세한 내용은 ML Kit 개인정보 안내와 ML Kit 데이터 공개 안내를 참고하세요. 음성 안내는 기기의 음성 합성(TTS) 서비스를 사용합니다. 선택한 음성 서비스에 따라 인터넷 연결이 사용될 수 있으며 앱은 카메라 영상이나 신체 좌표를 음성 서비스에 전달하지 않습니다.
5. 보관, 삭제 및 선택
달력에서 개별 기록을 길게 눌러 삭제할 수 있습니다. Android 설정에서 앱의 저장 공간을 지우거나 앱을 제거하면 해당 설치의 로컬 데이터가 삭제됩니다. 시스템 백업은 기기·Google 계정의 백업 설정에서 별도로 관리해야 하며 복원 시 기록이 다시 나타날 수 있습니다. 개발자는 기기 안의 기록에 원격으로 접근하거나 이를 대신 삭제할 수 없습니다.
광고 사업자가 보관하는 정보는 해당 사업자의 방침에 따라 보관됩니다. Google이 처리하는 정보에 관한 권리 행사 방법은 Google 개인정보처리방침을 참고해 주세요.
6. 아동 및 문의
버전 코드 5부터 연령대나 생년월일을 입력받지 않습니다. 이전 버전에서 저장한 연령대 선택은 업데이트 후 삭제됩니다. 연령을 확인하는 대신 모든 사용자에게 Google의 동의 연령 미만 개인정보 보호 처리를 적용하여 개인 맞춤 광고와 광고 식별자 전송을 제한합니다. 광고 콘텐츠 등급도 G로 제한합니다. Google UMP에서 광고 요청 가능 여부를 확인하며, 필요한 경우 설정에서 광고 개인정보 선택을 다시 열 수 있습니다. 이 설정은 모든 광고 데이터 수집을 없애는 것은 아닙니다. 이전 버전의 동작은 다를 수 있으므로 최신 버전으로 업데이트해 주세요.

7. 변경
기능이나 데이터 처리 방식이 바뀌면 이 페이지와 변경일을 갱신합니다.
Privacy policy
This policy covers HelpfulApps Co.’s Android app Squat Counter (com.helpfulapps.squatcounter). The app counts exercise using a timer or the optional camera mode available from version code 8. No account or login is required.
Records on your device
The app stores goals, counts, session dates and times, duration, completion status, an active session, settings, and the first-use time for the ad grace period in a local SQLite database. The app does not send workout records to a developer server or include them in ad requests. It keeps up to 500 saved sessions, removing older sessions as new ones are saved.
The app has no cloud sync service of its own. Android backup is enabled, so the operating system may back up or restore app data according to your device and Google account settings.
Advertising
The app uses Google AdMob banner and full-screen ads. Google’s ad SDK may collect and share IP addresses (which can indicate a general location), app and ad interactions, diagnostics, and device identifiers such as advertising and app set IDs. These support advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. SDK data is encrypted in transit using TLS. We do not provide workout records to the SDK for ad targeting.
See Google’s privacy policy and ad information for Google’s processing and retention practices. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings. Information processed by Google and its services may be handled outside your country.
Permissions and services
The app uses internet access for ads, audio, and vibration. From version code 8, choosing Camera requests camera permission to count squats. Google ML Kit processes camera images and body landmarks on your phone. The app does not save camera images or body landmarks, send them to a developer server, or include them in ad requests. Workout counts, goals, and times remain stored on your device. You can use Timer mode without camera permission and revoke permission in Android settings. Version code 7 and earlier do not offer camera mode. Camera-based exercise counting does not use microphone or location data and does not connect to Health Connect. There is no separate developer analytics server or account system. Paid ad removal and purchase restoration are currently unavailable.
Optional voice control requests microphone permission when you turn it on. It requires Android 12 or later and a compatible on-device speech service and language model. Microphone input is recognized on your phone as Start, Pause or Resume commands. The app does not save or upload audio or transcripts or use them for ads, and does not fall back to cloud speech recognition. If you choose voice language setup, Android may use the internet to download model data. Voice control starts off on each app launch and requires your action to enable it. Listening is limited to the ready camera workout screen and stops during Settings, Calendar, background activity, storage operations and spoken app feedback. Voice control switches off after saving a workout. Screen buttons remain available. You can turn voice control off in the app or revoke microphone permission in Android settings.
Google ML Kit may send device and app information, per-installation identifiers, processing times, API settings, input/output sizes, usage events, and error information to Google for diagnostics and usage analytics. Pose detection may use Firebase Remote Config and Firebase Installations. This diagnostic traffic does not include camera images or detected body landmarks. Google encrypts this data in transit using HTTPS. See ML Kit privacy information and ML Kit data disclosures. Voice guidance uses your device’s text-to-speech service. Your selected voice service may use an internet connection. The app does not provide camera images or body landmarks to the voice service.
Retention and deletion
Long-press a record in the calendar to delete it. Clear app storage in Android settings or uninstall the app to remove that installation’s local data. Manage system backups separately in device or Google account settings; restoring a backup may restore records. We cannot access or delete local records remotely. Google’s own policy covers retention and rights concerning data it processes.
Children and contact
From version code 5, the app does not ask for an age group or birth date. A previous local age choice is removed after updating. Instead of checking age, the app applies Google’s under-age-of-consent privacy treatment to all users, restricting personalized advertising and advertising identifier transmission. Ad content is limited to rating G. Google UMP checks whether ads may be requested; advertising privacy choices remain available in Settings when required. This does not eliminate all advertising data collection. Earlier versions may behave differently; please update to the latest version.
